NVIDIA GTC 2025, the company’s annual flagship event on AI, accelerated computing, and cutting-edge innovation, drew more than 25,000 in-person attendees and an anticipated 300,000 virtual attendees this year. As one of the industry’s premier technology conferences, GTC showcased forward-looking trends shaping the future of live content delivery, including advancements in remote production. Remote production is rising as the de facto method of producing live events and conferences, with industry experts reporting reductions of on-site crew requirements by 50% or more, directly reducing travel and lodging costs to allocate resources more efficiently.
When Creative Technology was challenged to record and stream multi-room general assembly meetings and breakout sessions to a global audience at NVIDIA GTC 2025, they turned to Panasonic to redefine what’s possible in remote live event production. Together, Panasonic and Creative Technology executed a seamless, high-impact broadcast in San Jose, California all while managing the event over 500 miles away in Henderson, Nevada.
"Creative Technology wanted to go beyond traditional remote production. They aimed to deliver an experience that truly elevated the production value for a high-profile client while remaining efficient and cost-effective" said Jim Jensen, Sr Product Manager at Panasonic Video and Audio Systems North America.
Traditionally, an event of this complexity would require a sizable on-site crew and lots of equipment. Creative Technology wanted to challenge that standard, seeking a solution that could minimize labor costs and streamline operations without compromising quality. That’s where Panasonic came in. With multiple sessions taking place across rooms onsite in San Jose, Panasonic’s Media Production Suite enabled a single operator in Nevada to manage 20 PTZ cameras remotely.
“As a client in this situation, it may be natural to feel skeptical. You're sitting in Henderson, and my event is in San Jose. Are you sure you can pull this off without any interruption?” This high-tech production pushed creative and technical boundaries, allowing Jim and Creative Technology’s team to showcase that a remote production was just as successful as an onsite production.
The Solution: Panasonic Media Production Suite and Advanced PTZ Cameras
Creative Technology deployed Panasonic’s Media Production Suite alongside a suite of Panasonic PTZ cameras, including 10 AW-UE150 and 10 AW-UE160, marking the first time Panasonic’s Advanced Auto Framing technology was used in a live event setting.
The Media Production Suite served as the control center, enabling a single operator to simultaneously manage multiple PTZ units remotely. This eliminated the need for camera operators in each room, reducing operating costs. From making sure the PTZs were running the latest firmware, to creating pre-sets specific to individual breakout rooms or general assemblies and utilizing plug-ins like Advanced Auto Framing, the Media Production Suite optimized overall device management.
Panasonic’s PTZ Cameras were deployed in a variety of formats, including hanging and mounted, offering flexible, high-quality video capture while remaining unobtrusive. Their compact footprint made them ideal for event spaces requiring discretion and minimal disruption. Panasonic’s advanced low-light performance, combined with SRT streaming protocol support, ensured a stable and consistent live stream across challenging lighting conditions and large-scale venue bandwidth typically present in broadcast environments.
Panasonic’s Advanced Auto Framing incorporated intelligent auto tracking, multi-subject image recognition, and human-like auto framing composition technologies to deliver precise, user-defined camera framing for high quality, natural content. By following presenter movement naturally, this feature ensured each session was professionally captured.
Jim noted that the feature “offers a more natural, human-like experience compared to traditional tracking because of the framing composition. This was the first time we deployed it in a real-world, high-stakes event, and it exceeded expectations.”
Panasonic also went the extra mile and made sure each member of Creative Technology’s team was properly trained and felt comfortable deploying the tool during remote production, further ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted broadcast.
Remote Production: A New Normal
By centralizing control and leveraging automation, Creative Technology was able to streamline operations across multiple rooms and minimize labor costs, all while delivering high production value. The Media Production Suite’s ability to store and recall up to 100 preset camera configurations further simplified transitions and reduced setup time. Meanwhile, integrated features in Panasonic’s PTZ cameras helped automate routine tasks like subject tracking and camera adjustment, allowing operators to focus on storytelling and audience engagement.
