This functionality recognizes the surface of a component captured with a head camera before picking it up from the tray and tape feeder to prevent possible misloading through polarity checks and optical character recognition.
- Options for OCR recognition:
- String identifying the part number, single character, or manufacturing lot number
- 2D code including the part number and manufacturing lot number information
- Results can be written to PanaCIM traceability logs
- Options for polarity recognition: polarity mark, chamfering and luminance levels
- Scan the first component, all components, specified interval count or when a splice is detected for tape and reel components

This function provides automatic two-way information display between the pre-reflow AOI and Panasonic pick and place machines. It automatically identifies NG positions to save labor.
- Reduces the time required to debug on pick and place machines after AOI determines NG locations.
- Pick and place machine’s monitor displays NG results with image, feeder location and part number. This allows operators to identify the part causing problems quickly.

Advanced machine to machine communication to help automate component offsets between the printer, pick and place, and inspection. Please contact your local RSM to ensure your machines are compatible.
- APC – Feed Back: feedbacks deviation of the mounting position to printers based on the position data of soldering inspection.
- APC - Mount Feed Back: feedbacks the position data of mounted parts measured with inspection machines (AOI) to the pick and place machine.

The IFMU is a standalone unit that is used to maintenance and calibrate Panasonic ITF Feeders. The system checks motor torque, X/Y index accuracy, cover height, resets maintenance count, and updates feeder firmware.
