Workpiece Transfer System
Application using a handling robot for automated workpiece loading and unloading at the welding station.
When workpiece weight is large, transporting workpieces using cranes or forklifts and setting them into fixtures manually increases cycle time and requires additional safety measures for operators.
By automating workpiece transport to the work area and fixture loading as shown, it is possible not only to shorten production cycle times, but also to achieve operator safety and labor savings.
Automated Welding System with Robot-to-Robot Coordination
By having a large handling robot hold the workpiece, rotation, tilting, and inversion become possible, dramatically increasing the freedom of workpiece orientation.
Because the handling robot can move in synchronization with the welding robot, the torch and workpiece can maintain the ideal welding posture at all times, stabilizing weld quality.
This approach is especially effective for complex workpieces with weld points on multiple surfaces.
