The TOUGHBOOK 40 features eight user-replaceable locations including the battery, memory, storage, keyboard and four expansion areas. The expansion area features several different types of xPAK’s including a barcode reader, optical drives, authentication readers, additional I/O, batteries and storage. All of the options in the eight modular areas provide more than 10,000 combinations to choose from. This unparalleled customization enables organizations to help futureproof, simplify ordering, shorten lead times and decrease downtime.
Speeds up to 3.5 Gbps
The 5G modem supports 4G (LTE, LTE-A) as well as 5G (Sub6, C-band) with speeds up to 3.5 Gbps. It seamlessly connects to the best available network without any disruption or intervention by the user. In addition, it supports FirstNet® (band 14), Private Cellular CBRS (band 48) and has dual SIM (physical SIM + eSIM) for maximum flexibility.
5MP Infrared Webcam
With the increased use of video conferencing – whether for telehealth or remote services – the TOUGHBOOK 40 boasts the first 5MP webcam in its class. It features a privacy cover for security and infrared capability to support Windows Hello facial recognition.
Tetra-array Microphones
Featuring four microphones with AI noise reduction that offer class leading speech recognition and up to 3x the accuracy in noisy environments.
