Rugged Terms:

TOUGHCare Coverage

  • This coverage entitles the serial-numbered Product to receive repairs for accidental damages at no cost, for the purchased years.
  • The TOUGHCare coverage includes unlimited replacement of sub-assemblies and components of the Product during the coverage. This also includes damages that may result from exposure of the components of the Product to environmental conditions.
  • In addition to the previous, The TOUGHCare coverage also provides priority service exchanges for xPAKs, screen protectors, and SSDs.
  • Customers that purchase this coverage are not required to send their SSD in with the device when getting repaired and are entitled to exchanges in the event an SSD fails, ensuring that their data remains in their possession.
  • The TOUGHCare coverage does not extend the warranty duration for the product batteries.
  • The TOUGHCare coverage does not cover failures or defects that are caused by, intentional acts, loss, theft, acts of the public enemy, war, riots, public disorder, computer viruses, or improper maintenance, modification, or service provided by anyone other than a Panasonic Authorized Service Provider.
  • The TOUGHCare coverage does not cover failures or defects that are caused by Flood, hurricane, earthquake, fire or smoke damage are not covered outside of typical duty use.
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality is not covered. Cosmetic damage on Products with hardware failures will be repaired in accordance with the warranty terms.
  • The TOUGHCare coverage limits the repair or exchange of total loss units to a maximum of 2% of the total number of Products deployed for a specific customer. Total loss units are defined as products for which the repair would exceed 50% of the manufacturing process for the product-as-new.
  • Complete Product unit replacement fulfills the full obligation and is at the discretion of Panasonic and is limited to once during the coverage term.
  • This coverage is extended solely to the original purchaser on the Product.
  • Additional exclusions apply – please refer to limited warranty exclusions.
  • Physical damage claims exceeding 10% of the purchased units for this class of device shall be subject to a further review and approval by Panasonic under the Rugged TOUGHCare Terms. If rejected, Panasonic will notify the purchaser via email or notification in CORE.

 

Fully Rugged Terms:

  • The TOUGHCare coverage does not extend the warranty duration for the product batteries.
  • The TOUGHCare coverage does not cover failures or defects that are caused by, intentional acts, loss, theft, acts of the public enemy, war, riots, public disorder, computer viruses, or improper maintenance, modification, or service provided by anyone other than a Panasonic Authorized Service Provider.

This coverage is extended solely to the original purchaser on the Product. Additional exclusions apply – please refer to limited warranty exclusions. TOUGHCare programs provide protection against accidental damage. Neither program is intended to provide product refurbishment due to normal wear and tear through ordinary, intended use.
